Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is an effective approach to pain management and relaxation. It relieves stress and promotes an overall feeling of relaxation, helping clients to breathe and move more easily. It is effective in treating a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue dysfunction.
Hot Stone Massage
This treatment is a combination of traditional hot stone and Swedish massage and is incredibly relaxing. Smooth basalt stones have been hand-picked by our RMTs from beaches all over Vancouver Island. They are warmed and used in therapists hands to massage the body. The stones are strategically placed along the body to release tension and stress.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is a type that’s similar to regular massage – it aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But prenatal massage is also customized to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly.
Acupuncture Therapy
Performed by a Registered Acupuncturist, Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used to promote health and healing in the body. Single-use disposable needles are inserted into “acupuncture points” on the body to activate the body’s natural healing response. Acupuncture is a safe treatment option and has the unique ability to promote relaxation, decrease pain, and enhance feelings of well-being through the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain relieving hormones) in the body.
Needleless Acupuncture
Incorporating all of the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Acupuncture Meridians, Needleless Acupuncture is a great alternative for those interested in Acupuncture, but who are not quite ready for the needles (or as a great option for children and teens). Performed by a Registered Acupuncturist, acupressure, cupping, gua sha, tui na, electromagnetic therapy, moxibustion, and/or ear therapy may be used to help you achieve your treatment goals.
Reflexology
Reflexology is the study of reflexes dating back thousands of years. Reflexology therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, organs, and glands on the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can:
- relieve tension
- increase circulation
- support the bodies efforts to function optimally
- helps to manage many common ailments such as: musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, anxiety, stress, hormonal, and digestives issues to name a few
