Elaine has always been interested in the human body. Her previous career was working in the pathology department screening for cancer cells. She often wondered why do illnesses affect some people and not others? The difference between western medicine and eastern medicine is that eastern medicine sees the person as a whole. It recognizes that there are multiple factors that can contribute to illness in the body – whether it be psycho/emotional, environmental or physical.
With each accumulative session, acupuncture brings the body back into homeostasis or balance and it affects the body’s natural ability to heal itself by relaxing the nervous system.
As a mother of two grown daughters, Elaine’s nurturing nature provides a safe, warm and relaxing environment. She’s able to treat acute and chronic conditions including sciatica, back/shoulder/neck pain, women’s health and digestive issues.
Elaine has also trained with Michelle Gellis and offers facial rejuvenation acupuncture as a healthy alternative to botox. With the stimulation of collagen production and improved elasticity, facial acupuncture can return a healthy glow to the face and is beneficial for both men and women.
